Description
M/Y GALA is a 65 foot luxury motor yacht. The Johnson 65 is a Euro-style pilothouse yacht designed by famed marine architect Bill Dixon. Built in 1994 on a modified-V hull and a wide 19-foot beam, the accommodations offer a luxury yachting experience: the well-appointed salon is divided into two levels with the lower aft section housing a big U-shaped lounge with a coffee table, and the forward, upper level containing a dining area to port and the galley and lower helm to starboard. With a spacious open salon, full beam master plus 3 guest staterooms in a split floorplan, Gala is the perfect platform for coastal cruising or heading out and exploring the Sea of Cortez and beyond. With her spacious interior and numerous amenities, she would shine as a long-term liveaboard as well.
The Johnson 65 will cruise at +/-20 knots with two 1019 HP MAN 12V71 diesels and reach a top speed of around 26 knots, which means you can get up and run when you want to put the weather behind you or you want to cover some ground, or you can pull it back and enjoy a nice, economical 10-knot cruise, too.

Aft, lies private access to the massive full-beam master suite which is fit for a king, and the space allowed in the open floorplan of the salon, galley and dining area makes for an incredibly comfortable cruiser, or even liveaboard. Below, forward, are the guest cabins. All en-suite and spacious in their own right, with heads and showers in each. The forward VIP is a centerline queen, the port guest cabin has another queen and the starboard has an upper/lower bunk. On deck, her large 19' beam provides a huge entertaining area in the cockpit, as well as the bridge, and the sunpad forward can fit you and 8 of your closest friends with ease.
